It’s the numbing sensation that’s sweeping the nation! This week, the Pack gathered for a live podcast in Cleveland, Ohio, and we have both audio and video recordings of the madness. The show starts off with some Secret Santa cheer but then breaks down into a horrific holiday taste test for which nobody is prepared. “Pop-Tart juice,” horse beans, Dr. Pepper popcorn and more await the cast’s intrepid taste buds. Afterwards, everyone shares his games of the year, with some surprising choices on each list. Plus, bees in our mouths, stapling with a hammer, listener Skype calls, 2011 disappointments, resolutions, high fives, chaos emeralds and visible face-palms.

This podcast is a celebration of the social aspects of gaming. We were “smash brothers” long before we became the ‘Pack, and we continue to game with each other on a regular basis. If you look beyond all of the media sensationalism and message board wankery, you’ll discover that video games can help form bonds that will last forever. We’re living proof of that – we’re not jaded journalists (not yet, at least), we’re not tournament players and we’re certainly not fanboys.
