Both people, and content-wise.

First of all, a big welcome to the King himself, the Master of Might and Sultan of Salami, Mr. Tony “Gorbo” Divito.

Oh God, what have we unleashed…?

He’s the newest kid to join the cast, and probably the last regular we’ll have for the main show.

There are more people that know this man than don’t – I suggest you become acquainted.

And we love this guy so much, he’s already got his own blog! What a lucky feller! Check him out at http://tony.therumblepack.com

He’s already brought a lot of energy our way, so you just wait until you see what he’s got up his sleeves.

You won’t be able to dodge…I assure you.

And now…

I’ve got to apologize to you folks out there. We here at the Rumblepack stand behind the motto that we “shake up” the game industry.

And like the peripheral that inspired our name, we might have seemed like a bit of a short lived gimmick at first…

You could say we’ve been “buzzing up” the game industry. And that’s just not good enough.

Call it a Christmas present, a New Year’s resolution, whatever you want, but something over here has inspired us as a group. I know for me, sitting at my cube all day listening to the podcasts of the industry “big-wigs” has made me want a piece of this pie more than ever before. I want to have access to this industry that I love, the one that’s shaped my life and brought my friends together. Starting very soon, we’re going to make that happen.

As an independent podcast and website, we can’t say that there’s much backing us up in terms of experience in this industry…except for the fact that all of us have been playing games for as long as we remember.

We’re not old enough to reminisce about the Atari 2600 or the Colecovision, hell, the NES came out the year I was born. You can kind of call us the “newer” generation of game enthusiasts. We weren’t raised on Mario Bros, we were raised on Super Mario Bros. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

So how can we impact this scene being just the fans we are? I’ll tell you.

We can deliver fresh perspectives on our podcast that you won’t have heard for the gajillionth time. We can deliver content reliably – I’m talking new podcasts and blog entries every week, along with new game reviews and forum activity. And we’re going to do it with some class. We’re no fanboys over here. You’re not going to see us champion one system or company — we’ll tell you what we like, what we don’t, and call the bullshit when we see it.

We’re determined to expand our listener base, get our voices heard, and have one hell of a good time.

If you’re new – welcome. Have a seat, take a listen, and tell us what you think.

I think we’re ready to rumble.

Be afraid…be very, very afraid.
